The general policy has been: whoever occupies smaller room should feel free to place anything in the common spaces. Person in larger room should try to keep as much of their stuff in their room as possible.
Also feel free to take down / move any furniture / art / ect… We should run larger purchases (furniture) for common areas by each other. I’m generally fine with splitting the cost for expensive things ~and then just resolving ownership on move out / ect.. (worked fine with Mohamed).

  • Rent: $2500/mo total. $1100/$1400 split (small vs. large room)
  • Electricity: ??/mo 50/50 split
  • Internet: $84/mo total. $42/$42 split

Access


Callbox: apt# -> phone# is 1 to 1 (unfortunately). We can probably hack some solution together if this becomes inconvenient. Note that landlord has been slow to update call box. I sent an email about it 2/24 and will elevate if they do not reply within 2 weeks
Packages / mail / deliveries: Typically land in lobby. Sometimes neighbors will deliver from lobby to door if its on the way to their unit. Deliveries will have to be intercepted from front door until call box is updated
Guest Parking: Police sweep through and ticket the boat launch lot like every 2 hours –park on the street (its free)
WIFi: “2 More Orcas”, “5 Less Spiders”. Password is Nick’s phone number
Front storage: key above the fireplace. Balcony storage is kept unlocked

Water Taxi


Fare: ( $5 (orca), $5.75 (debit card / cash)
Process: walk on to the boat and then scan your Orca. Ride takes approx 10 minutes
Schedule: changes depending on season (Winter vs. Summer)

Trash + Recycling


Trash chute is at the far end of the hall (turn left going out of apartment). There is no chute for recycling (building was built in the 90s before Americans cared about it). The bins are on the north end of the building just outside the gate.

HOA vs. Lease inconsistencies


  • Grills: (hoa says allowed, but lease says no) small propane grill is probably fine / unenforceable
  • Pets (hoa says allowed, but lease says no) ~(=^‥^)/
